Peace consolidation in West Africa: Piracy and Armed Robbery at Sea in the Gulf of Guinea

At the outset, we wish to commend the Chinese Presidency of the Security Council as well as Angola and Senegal for their initiative to organize this open debate on piracy and armed robbery with a particular focus on the Gulf of Guinea, one of the regions that are most affected by this threat.
