Statement by H.E. Mr. Demetris Christofias President of the Republic of Cyprus at the General Debate of the 67th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, New York, 25 September, 2012

Mr. President,

Allow me to congratulate you on your election as President of the 67th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations and express my delegation’s support to you in discharging your duties. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to your predecessor, H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, for the excellent way in which he conducted the work of the 66th Session of the General Assembly.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Secretary General for his report on the work of the Organisation.
