Letter dated 26 February 2003 from the Secretary-General addressed to the President of the Security Council
I have the honour to refer to the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP).
The Governments of Argentina and Chile in the context of their cooperation on peacekeeping matters, wish to include a platoon-sized unit of troops plus two staff officers from Chile in the Argentine contingent of UNFICYP without an increase in the total number of personnel in the Argentine contingent. Following the usual consultations, I intend to accept this proposal.
I should be grateful if you would bring this matter to the attention of the members of the Security Council.
