The Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the United Nations, Ambassador Nicholas Emiliou and the Permanent Representative of Fiji Ambassador Peter Thompson signed on Friday (15.03.13) at the offices of the Permanent Mission of Fiji, a bilateral agreement establishing diplomatic relations between Cyprus and Fiji. In the agreement the two countries express their common will to develop and strengthen friendship and cooperation in all fields, political, economic, social and humanitarian based on the principles of the UN Charter.
The two Ambassadors reaffirmed the friendly ties that unite Cyprus and Fiji and welcomed the formalization of their relationships while at the same time wished to strengthen their relations and scope of cooperation in all international fora.
